Farm Beginnings
Cynthia’s adventure began on a farm near her home, where her first encounter with engines was through a tractor. Despite her parents’ lack of involvement in motorsports, her father often took her to dirt track races, sparking her interest in the sport.
Learning the Mechanics
Her father, a mechanic, became her mentor. She spent countless hours in the garage, absorbing everything about engines and mechanics. This early exposure fueled her passion for anything with an engine.
First Steps in Racing
As a teenager, Cynthia worked tirelessly to save enough money to buy her first dirt bike at 18. Her dedication paid off as she soon began racing regularly, balancing a full-time job and night school to support her weekend racing endeavors.
Rising Through the Ranks
Amateur to Pro Transition
After three years in the amateur class, Cynthia moved up to the Pro Women’s Canadian National Series. Despite facing several injuries, including full reconstructive surgeries on her knee and shoulder, she persevered.
Shift to Off-Road Racing
Transitioning from motocross to off-road racing was a natural move for Cynthia. She quickly excelled in short course buggies, eventually joining the Monster Jam World Finals team in 2013 and 2014. Her passion for Monster Jam trucks was ignited, leading to a successful test drive and her participation in the Maple Leaf tour in 2015.
Breakthrough in Monster Jam
In 2016, Cynthia competed in the Triple Threat Series Tour, which demanded both physical and mental endurance. Her hard work culminated in significant achievements, including victories in freestyle and the high jump competition at the 2019 World Finals.
